Did you know for example that CO-detection is the only preventative protection method in the drying industry for organic products like milk? No matter how innocuous milk powder may appear, if the right air/product ratio is reached and this mixture is subsequently ignited, it can become a major safety hazard!
And although the earliest descriptions of spray drying are dated 150 years ago thus far it was still difficult to produce a stable and non-sticky powder product under changing weather conditions. Sticky powder can cause an increased fouling rate as well as the risk of clump forming.
